Very showy, spectacular Australian tree, often conical in shape with dark green glossy leaves, deeply lobed when young. The upper trunk is green. Bright red bell flowers occur when the tree is wholly or partly deciduous, and are followed by thick black pods. Very conspicuous in flower in gardens and in the rainforest.

2310 Ceiba hybrid Frosty Girl
Rare ceiba hybrid with snow-white flowers of unusual shape for this type of tree. The petals are wide, almost round. Flower is 3-4" across, pure white with yellow throat. The tree is somewhat dwarf, much smaller than regular ceibas.

2087 Mussaenda philippica Dona Aurora (white)
Beautiful white hybrid of Mussaenda - Dona Aurora. Medium size shrub with lush soft foliage and bright orange star-like flowers, surrounded by large white bracts. The plant is sensitive to freeze. Can be grown in container. Requires good drainage and prefers to be on a dry side.
